Pakiri Beach Holiday Park is a popular, well established Holiday Park, 30 minutes from Warkworth and 90 minutes’ drive north of Auckland CBD. The holiday park has direct ocean-beach frontage, is surrounded by farmland and borders the Poutawa Stream. Accommodation for guests consists of a mixture of a luxury lodge, beachfront motel units, cabins and powered & non-powered camp sites. The park has a family-friendly atmosphere with a high level of repeat guests. The holiday park has in-house potable water and sewer systems. The Board has commissioned a long-term masterplan (due March 2018), to inform decision making for future development.


Operations Assistant Manager


The holiday park operates all year round with two Operations Assistant Managers who work on a roster basis.  They manage the team of housekeepers, groundsmen, reception and administration employees and report to the Business Manager.  We wish to appoint one Operations Assistant Manager and require a person with the ability to plan and manage all duties on a daily basis while willing to “get their hands dirty” in assisting with daily tasks as required.  The roles also support the Business Manager with marketing duties and implementation of the future development plan to help the business continue to grow.

Main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Taking ownership of all aspects of the presentation of the holiday park to guests;
  • Leading and assisting the reception, grounds and housekeeping teams to deliver exceptional service;
  • Overseeing housekeeping to ensure that excellent standards are maintained;
  • Managing ongoing maintenance of grounds, buildings, the potable water and sewer systems;
  • Working closely with marketing partners to implement marketing strategies;
  • Oversee daily Health & Safety Management;
  • Information Technology Maintenance.

The Operations Assistant Manager roll is salaried and based on a roster, 8:30am to 7pm, and late night rounds at times.


You are an energetic, can-do, “all-rounder” who can lead and manage a team, enjoys guest service as well as be comfortable with hands-on work.

Skills/experience required:

  • Good communication ability along with fluent oral and written English;
  • Experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality/holiday park/tourism sector;
  • NewBook park management software experience will be an advantage;
  • Experience in a building or engineering role will be an advantage;
  • Accounting experience may be an advantage.

Casual Assistants: Reception, Housekeeping & Grounds


We have casual positions available at our beachfront holiday park that will suit friendly and enthusiastic individuals or a couple.

These casual roles centre on day-to-day duties of the holiday park which may include: front office/reception/shop work, bookings, administration, general maintenance, grounds & lawns, housekeeping, general cleaning, laundry, security, etc.


We require individuals, or a couple, who would enjoy our beachfront location, fishing, walks and a lifestyle change.  Cabin accommodation will be available if required. Alternatively, we have sites available if you have your own motorhome.
